We believe WEB Inspection Forms are the future of home inspection reporting and delivery.
Every month, more and more devices have access to the internet. Many inspectors already email the completed inspection report to the client. Many use specialized software to collect the inspection information. Competition is forcing Inspectors to move toward a professional report for their clients. But these advances have come with their own difficulties.
- The custom software may need updates, rewrites, and synchronization to another computer to complete the report.
- The custom software limits you to only the devices it can run on.
- If the report file is not created with standard fonts that their client has installed, they may not be able to view the report.
- The inspector now struggles with the ability to email the large size of the completed report. The client may need to install additional software to read the report. And finally, inspectors do not know if their client has received or read the report.
- If things don't go right, you spend additional time in recreating the report to send again, or printing and delivering the report yourself.

As a home inspector, I want to provide a professional report to my clients. However I realized I was spending too much time after the inspection dealing with report file size, client's email system limitations, resizing images and other problems. Back at the office I spent many hours rewriting the report content, attempting to design the reports sections to efficiently follow my inspection routine and deciding on the value of upgrade subscriptions. I was looking for the efficiency of making only one content change and having that content apply to every report section it's used in. I decided to design something that worked the way I did and was flexible enough for most of the residential properties I would inspect. My software support background has allowed me to design something that I believe is much better. |

Our solution
- Create the report on the server with only a web browser required for the creation and client's access of the report. No custom software required!
- Dedicate a server for the report access so business firewalls allow the connection.
- Keep the design simple so that many devices can be used.
- Allow the inspector to access a report log to determine which pages of the report has been opened.
- Invite inspectors to participate in the content development of these reports.
