Paper report or checklist
If you use a paper report or checklist, you will appreciate the fact that our on-line reports start off similar to a very long checklist. But after you complete the sections that apply, the saved report compresses to only the items you have selected. If an item is required by NAHI standards, that field will be included to confirm that it was either excluded by prior agreement or did not exist. (currently in development)
The report pages you add to an inspection are specific to the system being inspected. Only systems that apply are included. If you are not inspecting a detached garage, select the inspection page for attached garage. That way you will not have the additional structural system included. |

Program on your laptop or handheld
The programs that exist for laptops or handheld computers address the collection of information, but they require software on your laptop and or handheld computer. This software can come with yearly maintenance charges and the content may need major revisions before you consider it usable. If you find your device fails, you may loose your inspection completely and forced to create the inspection from memory.
Using custom software does not address the difficulty to deliver the report to your client, or the verification that they have read or received the report. With our system, the report is already where it needs to be for your client's access. Just send them the link with the id & password. For verification, just monitor the log we provide and not only can you see that they opened the report, but what pages they opened! That will reassure you since people may only call you with a problem. |

With our system, you can do what you do best!
When you drive up to the house, we (and your client) want you to think about the house, and not to be distracted by technology. Most clients we surveyed prefer to receive the report via email instead of waiting for the report after the inspection is complete - so leave the printer at home!
You can create a cover page in advance. Possibly a general inspection page also if you ask those questions during the scheduling process.
Start the inspection in any order you like. The inspection report pages will be organized together when presented to your client. If you find two heating systems, just add an additional heating system page for the secondary heating unit. If you are asked or want to comment on egress windows, just enter the width and height in inches. The program will calculate if this is considered an egress window. Soon we hope to add many automatic calculations to the reports.
Any images you upload to a report inspection page will be resized to a lower resolution to display on the report. You can set your camera to take lower resolution photos to enable you to take more pictures and save upload time, or leave your camera as it is and the system will take care of it for you! |

If you have an idea or comment, just submit your suggestion. Typically we can add it to the database within the week. We believe it's important to tell your client what you see, what you cannot see and provide comments to select that clearly explain this to your client. |
